Collection: Mekhela Sador

The Mekhela Sador is a traditional garment from Assam, India, known for its unique draping style that differentiates it from the classic saree. While both garments share similarities as long, unstitched fabrics worn around the body, the Mekhela Sador consists of two main pieces: the mekhela, which is a lower garment resembling a draped skirt, and the sador, a shawl-like piece draped over the upper body. This distinct two-piece construction allows for a different, often more comfortable draping experience compared to the saree.
